Phormiumtenex 'PH0S3'
Flamin' is a semi compact Phormium, with red, orange and bronze tones. Although it is a single colour Phormium, it uniquely has this tri-tone appearance, particularly as it ages.
Flamin' grows well in full sun to shaded positions, tolerates heavy frost and moderately dry conditions.
Flamin' is low maintenance once established, but when planting Flamin', ensure the crown or base of the plant is not below the soil level. Apply coarse grade mulch to reduce weed growth and keep the root zone cold and moist. Water is required. Avoid Summer planting in humid areas such as Sydney.
Phormium Tenax 'PH0S2'
'Sweet Mist' is an ultra compact Phormium, with an exceptional bronze colour. 'Sweet Mist' is an excellent plant for VIC, SA, WA, Tasmania and southern NSW. In humid areas, such as Sydney, plant any time from March to September for best results.
One of the most small,compact forms of Phormium, it has beautiful bronze foliage providing stunning contrast in the garden.
'Sweet Mist' is ideal for mass planting as a low border or fill-in plant, and an excellent choice for contrasting with green foliage. Suited to the smaller modern garden, it is also good for containers and patios. Sweet Mist grows well in full sun to shaded positions, tolerates heavy frost and moderately dry conditions and is suitable for most soil types. |
